Job Summary

To support accurate medical record management, the full-time remote Emergency Room Coder will code and abstract ER records while meeting departmental accuracy and production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Code and abstract medical records for the diverse population of ER patients following established conventions and guidelines
• Ensure compliance with departmental accuracy and production standards
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve workflow efficiency and patient outcomes

Required qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting
• Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Information Technology, or a related field preferred
• Certifications required: CCS, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
