Emerging Companies Attorney

Job Summary

To lead and scale the Emerging Companies practice, the full-time Managing Partner - Emerging Companies will oversee venture financings, serve as primary counsel for startup clients, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance legal workflows in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead venture financings and corporate matters for emerging companies from start to finish
• Advise clients on the full lifecycle of decisions, including employment, IP, and other ancillary issues
• Partner with engineering teams to design and implement tools that streamline the deal process

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in emerging companies and venture capital at a top firm
• Experience taking clients from idea to IPO, handling ancillary issues along the way
• Deep knowledge of NVCA documents, SAFEs, convertible notes, and corporate governance matters
• Proven ability to standardize guidance through clear playbooks and processes
• Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and in good standing
