Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant - Employee Benefits (Remote).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and reconcile direct bill commissions from insurance companies and perform daily bookkeeping tasks
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with the month-end close of local agency general ledger systems
  • Coordinate the payment of operating expenses and assist with budget preparation as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience in the insurance brokerage industry is desired
  • Working knowledge of various insurance agency management systems is preferred
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
