Employment Attorney

Job Summary

Providing comprehensive legal guidance on labor and employment matters, the full-time remote Associate General Counsel, Employment will advise executive leadership and HR teams on compliance, risk mitigation, and workforce management while navigating federal and state employment statutes and Medicaid regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, and state-specific employment statutes
• Align employment practices with Medicaid provider enrollment rules and collaborate on audit readiness
• Draft and implement employee handbooks, arbitration agreements, and independent contractor agreements

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree and current license to practice law; New York or California bar admittance is a plus
• Minimum of 10 years of focused labor and employment law experience required
• Prior in-house and/or large law firm experience preferred
• Strong labor relations expertise, including collective bargaining and NLRA compliance, is highly desirable
• Experience supporting Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) programs is a plus
