Employment Counsel

Job Summary

Supporting a global technology company, the full-time contract Employment Counsel will provide strategic legal advice on employment law matters, manage litigation, and collaborate with HR and business leaders in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with in-house employment attorneys to manage litigation, demand letters, and administrative matters
• Advise HR and business leaders on various employment law issues, including hiring, discipline, and workplace investigations
• Provide guidance on employment policies, compliance initiatives, and multi-jurisdictional employment matters

Required qualifications

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 7+ years of employment law experience in-house, at a law firm, or both
• Experience managing employment litigation, demand letters, and agency charges
• Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws and day-to-day employment counseling
• Experience advising on multi-state or multi-jurisdictional employment matters
