Employment Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing legal function, the full-time Employment Counsel will manage day-to-day employment law matters, provide legal advice on workplace policies and compliance, and utilize AI tools to enhance legal services in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and advise on employment law matters, including workplace policies, investigations, and employee relations
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related documents and manage compliance infrastructure
• Collaborate with various business stakeholders to translate legal risks into actionable recommendations

Required qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 4-5 years of relevant legal experience, including at least 2 years in employment law
• Experience with employment compliance, policies, and investigations
• Demonstrated ability to work outside a narrow specialty and develop practical knowledge of various legal issues
• Hands-on experience using AI tools for legal research and drafting with a focus on verification and confidentiality
