Employment Counsel

Job Summary

A leading fintech company is seeking an Employment Counsel for a 3-month contract, fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and counseling on various employment matters, including contingent workers, background checks, and outside employment requests
• Investigate and respond to employment-related claims, complaints, and audits
• Evaluate employment practices, policies, and processes to ensure compliance and execute priorities

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience focused on employment law
• J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar
• Experience with wage and hour compliance, class actions, and employment litigation
• Ability to work effectively within a legal team and collaborate cross-functionally
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks independently
