Job Summary
A company is looking for an Employment Counsel (Layoff Management) for a 3-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute redundancy exercises efficiently, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Provide strategic advice on performance management issues to support HR and management teams
- Develop and maintain legal playbooks and guidelines to streamline redundancy and performance management processes
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- 4+ years of experience in employment law, focusing on redundancy and performance management issues
- Proven ability to manage and implement redundancy exercises in a compliant manner
- Experience in developing legal playbooks and managing legal tracking systems is preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR and legal operations
