Encore Program Instructor

Job Summary

To support lifelong learning for older adults, the part-time Encore Program Instructor will develop and teach specialized academic courses focused on personal enrichment, with flexible scheduling options available for both in-person and remote instruction within certain states.

Key responsibilities

• Develop course content and create syllabi for specialized academic classes
• Manage classroom dynamics and provide high-quality instruction to students aged 50 and older
• Assist with marketing efforts for the classes, with necessary approvals from the Community Learning Center Director

Required qualifications

• College degree or specialized certification relevant to the subject area
• Previous teaching experience is desired
• Ability to submit specific class proposals for each session
• Willingness to attend an orientation session prior to teaching
• Approval required for remote work within designated states
