Encounter Data Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Encounter Data Specialist who will support the submission of encounter data reporting to CMS and state agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure encounter data submissions meet federal and state requirements
• Analyze and interpret encounter data errors to identify potential issues and trends
• Monitor monthly federal and state encounter data reports and create an error resolution plan

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with encounter data submissions and resolution
• Five (5) years of experience as a healthcare claims supervisor may be substituted
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of encounter data processes and regulatory requirements
