Job Summary
A company in the Environmental Services industry is looking for a Ending Plastic Pollution International Collaborative Public-Private Partnership (EPPIC) Private Partnerships Lead.
Position Responsibilities:
- Facilitate private company actions toward plastic reuse, recycling, and alternative packaging in the developing countries targeted by this program
- Leverage external funds to support and expand pilot initiatives
- Provide technical assistance to companies seeking to support national government efforts to establish sound environmental standards around plastic pollution
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years leading and managing the sustainability department of a major company, or leading a network of companies focused on sustainability issues
- Desired professional experience with plastic waste-related initiatives, including circular economy models, recycling and reuse, alternatives to plastic packaging, administering challenge funds, as well as solid understanding of policy, regulations, economics, and market issues related to plastic packaging and plastic waste
- Experience working on corporate sustainability policy and/or practices in one or more developing countries
- Track record of working with or for one or more private companies to achieve plastic waste reduction results
- A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is required
