Job Summary

To enhance the quality of healthcare, the part-time independent contractor Endocrinologist Peer Reviewer will conduct remote, evidence-based medical reviews, evaluating cases for medical necessity and standard of care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct objective peer reviews of clinical cases, ensuring decisions are aligned with current standards of practice
• Make final determinations regarding medical necessity and quality of care
• Submit reviews in a timely and professional manner using the provided IT systems

Required qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
• Board certification through a recognized board is required (if applicable)
• At least five years of full-time equivalent clinical experience providing direct patient care
• Active engagement in direct or virtual patient care for at least 20 hours per week
• Knowledge of current evidence-based clinical guidelines and treatments related to the medical condition under review
