Job Summary
To support the United States Postal Service's Cybersecurity program, the full-time Endpoint Security Engineer will design, deploy, and operationalize advanced endpoint detection and response capabilities, ensuring robust security across a vast enterprise environment while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Engineer, deploy, and maintain Next-Gen Antivirus and EDR/XDR agents across a large fleet of heterogeneous endpoints
- Act as the primary technical partner to application owners, managing allowlisting and exception workflows to minimize operational disruptions
- Support SOC analysts and IT administrators during high-severity threat detection and response events, performing advanced host forensics and remediation
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in technical cybersecurity engineering or infrastructure security roles
- Expert-level proficiency in administering enterprise-scale EDR/XDR platforms across diverse operating systems
- Strong programming/scripting abilities in PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting SOC investigations in large-scale enterprise environments
