Energy Efficient AI Prize Director

Job Summary

Leading the Energy Efficient AI Prize, the full-time Technical Prize Director will manage the overall operations and execution of a global competition aimed at significantly reducing the energy consumption of AI infrastructure, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the Prize team, executing the vision and strategies
• Oversee budget management, technical measurement development, and the judging process for the competition
• Serve as a public-facing ambassador for the Prize, promoting it through various events and communications

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in computer science, electrical engineering, AI/ML, energy systems, or related fields
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in AI infrastructure, computing systems, or data center architecture
• Demonstrated expertise in energy-efficient AI systems and high-performance computing
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary technology initiatives
• Excellent public speaking and communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
