Energy Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting a variety of energy efficiency programs, the full-time Energy Engineer will conduct retro-commissioning, building tune-ups, and energy audits, primarily in a hybrid work environment with a preference for candidates located in the Midwest or Eastern U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects, including retro-commissioning and energy audits
• Analyze building automation and utility data to identify energy savings opportunities and develop actionable recommendations
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings, savings calculations, and project implementation details while coordinating with project stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Science, or a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in commercial and industrial energy efficiency or related technical project work
• Working knowledge of C&I building systems, including HVAC and building automation systems
• Experience analyzing energy data to identify savings opportunities
• Strong skills in developing and documenting engineering calculations and energy savings estimates
