Energy Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated Energy Engineer, the full-time position offers the opportunity to work either onsite in North Carolina, Texas, or Minnesota, or remotely, focusing on program implementation, technical expertise, and project management in residential energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer incentive applications for compliance with program rules and building science best practices
- Provide technical expertise on energy efficiency and beneficial electrification technologies to the program team
- Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure program design integrates regulatory standards and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- 2-5+ years of experience in energy efficiency, mechanical design, or energy modeling
- Expert knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, including HVAC and mechanical systems
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with calculation review and spreadsheet analysis
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office software
