Energy Origination Manager
Job Summary
Originating energy agreements, the full-time salaried Energy Origination Manager will lead the development of power purchase agreements and hedging strategies while managing risk and supporting data center growth in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the origination of energy agreements, including PPAs and utility interconnection contracts
- Develop investment cases through LCOE and NPV/IRR analyses to inform power strategy decisions
- Evaluate and execute hedging strategies to mitigate power and fuel price risks
Required qualifications
- Significant experience in energy origination, commodity/power trading, or utility-scale power markets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and test LCOE, NPV, and IRR models
- Hands-on experience with power and gas hedges, including swaps and options
- Proven negotiation skills with utilities and counterparties
- Familiarity with RTO/ISO market structures and tariff dynamics
