Energy Policy Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Energy Policy, Government Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a government affairs and energy policy strategy focused on power adequacy and grid resilience
• Monitor and analyze energy policy developments, creating advocacy strategies to mitigate risks and seize opportunities
• Represent the company before officials and agencies, advocating for positions on energy and infrastructure-related issues

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in government relations or within state/federal legislative and regulatory bodies focused on energy policy
• Strong knowledge of the energy industry, including renewable energy and RTO/ISO market policies
• Proven ability in external advocacy and communication, translating regulatory issues into business strategies
• Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) or Master's degree preferred
