Energy Project Development Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Manager or Director of Energy Project Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and acquire energy projects for long duration energy storage, including conducting due diligence and negotiations
• Oversee the development of acquired projects, managing external consultants and ensuring compliance with permitting and interconnection requirements
• Build and maintain relationships with renewable developers to source acquisition and partnership opportunities

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, particularly in project acquisition or M&A
• Proven track record of successfully acquiring and developing utility-scale renewable energy projects
• Experience negotiating various project-related agreements, such as MIPAs and asset purchase agreements
• Familiarity with project development processes, including permitting and land rights
• Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships in a fast-paced environment
