Energy Storage Project Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the engineering design packages for a diverse portfolio of EV charging and battery energy storage projects, the full-time Energy Storage Project Engineer will generate and review design packages, lead external engineering partners, and ensure compliance with utility and jurisdictional requirements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Generate project-specific conceptual and schematic design packages
- Review and approve various design packages from conceptual to construction phases
- Direct and quality-check the work of external engineering partners to maintain project timelines
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 8+ years of directly related professional experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in project-based design management, preferably in renewable energy or EV charging infrastructure
- 2+ years of experience in construction project design specification development and management
- 3+ years of experience managing third-party engineering consultants
- 3+ years of experience with CAD tools, particularly AutoCAD
