Energy Underwriter I

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter I (Energy).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate energy insurance submissions against underwriting guidelines to determine eligibility, pricing, and coverage structure
• Utilize independent judgment to approve or decline submissions and document underwriting files accordingly
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers while calculating pricing in line with market conditions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 2 years of underwriting or related insurance experience, preferably in casualty, specialty, or energy-related lines
• Ability to evaluate risk and make underwriting determinations independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn underwriting systems quickly
• Strong desire to develop technical underwriting expertise and adapt to changing market conditions
