Engineer I
Job Summary
Responsible for the engineering and design of DWDM systems, the remote Engineer I will manage project plans, develop installation design packages, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Planning, scheduling, and reporting on project progress for assigned tasks
- Creating job packages with technical instructions for installation teams
- Maintaining inside plant site documentation and managing project budgets
Required qualifications
- An Engineering Degree (EE or ME preferred) or equivalent experience in fiber optic system engineering
- 0-2 years of related experience or 4+ years of equivalent Engineering/Technical experience
- Intermediate skills with Excel, Visio, CAD, Word, and Access
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Technical writing skills and project management experience
