Engineer II, FHIR

Job Summary

To support the Hospital Quality Reporting program, the full-time remote Engineer II, FHIR will design and implement FHIR-compliant APIs, develop backend applications, and manage CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance software quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain backend applications using Java, GoLang, and Python while implementing FHIR-compliant APIs for healthcare data exchange
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing requirements and ensure the quality of software through automated testing and defect management
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the creation of CI/CD environments, ensuring timely delivery of projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8+ years of development experience
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and at least two of GoLang, Python, Angular, or TypeScript
• Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
• Familiarity with HL7 FHIR standards and experience building or integrating RESTful APIs aligned to FHIR specifications
• Strong relational database experience, particularly with PostgreSQL
