Engineer II, FHIR

Job Summary

To support the Hospital Quality Reporting program, the full-time remote Engineer II, FHIR will design and implement FHIR-compliant APIs, develop test automation frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance healthcare data exchange and quality reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement FHIR-compliant APIs and services for healthcare data exchange
• Develop, deploy, and maintain backend applications using Java, GoLang, and Python
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and prioritize QA/testing requirements

Required qualifications

• Experience working with HL7 FHIR standards, including resources and implementation guides
• Strong relational database experience such as PostgreSQL
• Experience building or integrating RESTful APIs aligned to FHIR specifications
• Understanding of digital quality measurement concepts, including eCQM and dQM
• Experience with fully automated CI/CD pipelines from commit through production deployment
