Engineering Director

Job Summary

Owning the engineering of the Nexus Exchange, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will lead the architecture and development of critical components such as the matching engine and risk engine, while managing an international team to drive product and business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the architecture and development of the Exchange domain, including all its sub-components
• Lead the engineering organization, managing timelines, roadmaps, and resource allocation
• Drive product and customer outcomes through high-frequency iteration and end-to-end automation of engineering processes

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in building production software, with at least 2 years in an engineering leadership role
• Proven experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems and concurrent/parallel systems
• Deep proficiency in Rust, Go, and Next.js/TypeScript or Node
• Strong understanding of architecture trade-offs related to correctness, latency, and throughput
• Experience in mentoring senior engineers and growing technical leads
