Job Summary
To lead a dynamic team of engineers, the full-time remote Engineering Director will co-own the AI engineering team, manage talent development, and drive project success while ensuring team health and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Co-own the AI engineering team, focusing on team health and performance management through regular check-ins and reviews
- Provide technical guidance and support on project evaluation strategies, ensuring high-quality architecture and delivery
- Lead hiring efforts and match engineers to projects based on skills and client needs, maintaining a balanced workload
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in a management role overseeing senior engineers
- Strong technical background in full-stack development with proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, or Go
- Experience building and deploying production agentic applications and familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps practices
- Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent through structured training and onboarding programs
- Comfortable working with major cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
