Job Summary
Leading a critical segment of the engineering practice, the full-time remote Engineering Director will oversee the Growth and Patient Portal teams, ensuring high-quality patient experiences while managing QA and Product Support functions across all application teams.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the success of the Growth and Patient Portal teams, ensuring accountability for delivering company value with high reliability
- Own QA and Product Support functions, setting standards and processes to maintain high quality across all application teams
- Coach and develop engineering managers and senior individual contributors to foster the next generation of engineering leaders
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years of engineering management experience, including managing managers or multiple teams
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in React, TypeScript, and AWS
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code
- Track record of overseeing teams that deliver business value with low defect rates
