Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Engineering Lead will shape the technical direction of programs, mentor engineering teams, and support leadership in meeting delivery requirements while developing collaboration and communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Develops an understanding of program scope, schedule, and cost management while articulating contractual delivery requirements to team members
• Provides coaching and development to engineering team members, defining growth goals and fostering a learning culture
• Leads team processes and collaborates with key stakeholders to advocate for optimal technical solutions

Required qualifications:

• 9+ years of relevant engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree
• 2+ years of mentoring and coaching experience with a focus on tasking efforts to support delivery
• Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation as a condition of employment
• Extensive experience with software development, customer interactions, and mentorship
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical decisions for non-technical audiences
