Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time salaried Engineering Lead will shape the technical direction of programs, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with leadership to meet delivery requirements while managing people and fostering a culture of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develops understanding of program scope, schedule, and cost management, articulating delivery requirements to team members
• Provides coaching and development to engineering team members, defining growth goals and creating a culture of learning
• Leads team processes, advocates for technical solutions, and presents ongoing engineering work and future goals to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of relevant engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree
• 2+ years of mentoring and coaching experience, with a track record of leading task efforts to support delivery
• Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation as a condition of employment
• Extensive experience with software development, customer interactions, and mentorship
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical decisions for non-technical audiences
