Engineering Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of senior engineers while contributing hands-on to backend system development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team in building and scaling core backend systems, including hands-on development and technical guidance
• Drive architecture reviews and mentor team members to ensure scalable technical decisions
• Own the long-term health of the backend stack and assist in hiring and team development

Required Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with Go and Kubernetes, including performance tuning and profiling
• Experience managing services deployed in GCP, running on GKE, and working within a Linux environment
• At least 2 years of experience managing senior engineers in a high-ownership environment
• Experience in SaaS or PaaS environments at scale
• Familiarity with parts of the stack such as Ruby/Rails, Redis, and ffmpeg is preferred
