Engineering Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Development Manager who will serve as a hands-on technical leader and mentor while also contributing to code development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers through hands-on collaboration and technical discussions
• Write production-quality code and architect technical solutions while maintaining high code quality standards
• Foster a culture of extreme ownership and high agency within the team, ensuring alignment with product goals

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of web development experience and 3+ years in engineering leadership
• Strong proficiency in PHP (modern PHP 7+/8+) and experience with Laravel or similar frameworks
• Extensive experience with WordPress plugin development (4+ years) and expert-level understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proven track record of mentoring developers and leading engineering teams while maintaining individual contributions
