Engineering Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a small, high-velocity team focused on building an AI-powered career services platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a small engineering team, conducting weekly demos, sprint planning, and 1:1s
• Review pull requests and assess technical architecture proposals, providing actionable feedback and identifying risks
• Drive AI-first engineering practices and collaborate with product and design on roadmap prioritization

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a tech lead or engineering management role
• Hands-on experience with backend systems (Ruby on Rails, Python, or similar)
• Active experience as an AI-first Tech Lead, utilizing AI development tools in workflows
• Experience managing small teams with high autonomy and low process overhead
• Track record of shipping products in fast-paced, startup-like environments
