Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Engineering Manager, the ideal candidate will lead and develop a distributed team of engineers focused on core identity, billing, and administration capabilities, while driving engineering execution and modernization efforts within a PHP monolith.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a distributed team of 8+ engineers across Identity Management, Payments & Billing, and Internal Admin Platform
• Drive engineering execution, including sprint planning, technical prioritization, and delivery across multiple workstreams
• Engage with the PHP monolith through code reviews, architectural decision-making, and guiding modernization efforts

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on PHP development experience with large-scale monolithic applications
• 3+ years of engineering management experience with a proven track record of developing engineers and delivering complex projects
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, query optimization, and data modeling at scale
• Experience with identity, authentication, or billing systems such as IAM, OAuth, or subscription/payment platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
