Engineering Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Engineering Manager will drive complex, high-impact problem resolutions, manage a small group of engineers, and collaborate with product and operations to enhance payroll systems in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take on complex, high-impact problems and drive them to resolution
• Develop engineers into stronger owners across changing areas of the business
• Work directly with product and operations, defining product behavior and clarifying requirements

Required qualifications

• Experience owning and delivering production systems end-to-end
• Experience leading and developing engineers into stronger owners
• A track record of driving outcomes in ambiguous environments
• Strong technical judgment and ability to simplify systems
• Excitement about how AI is changing how teams build
