Engineering Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing engineering team, the full-time salaried Engineering Manager will tackle complex, high-impact problems related to payroll systems, manage a small group of engineers, and collaborate with product and operations teams in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive resolution of complex problems and improve systems and developer workflows
• Develop engineers into stronger owners and facilitate collaboration across business areas
• Engage in hands-on work, including system design, project management, and bug fixing

Required qualifications

• Experience owning and delivering production systems end-to-end
• Proven track record of leading and developing engineering teams
• Ability to navigate and drive outcomes in ambiguous environments
• Strong technical judgment with a focus on simplifying systems
• Interest in leveraging AI to enhance team productivity and system quality
