Engineering Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Engineering Manager will drive solutions for complex, high-impact problems related to payroll systems, managing a small group of engineers while working remotely or in-office in New York City or San Francisco.

Key responsibilities

• Take on complex, high-impact problems and drive them to resolution
• Develop engineers into stronger owners across changing areas of the business
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to define product behavior and clarify requirements

Required qualifications

• Experience owning and delivering production systems end-to-end
• Experience leading and developing engineers into stronger owners
• Strong technical judgment and ability to simplify systems
• A track record of driving outcomes in ambiguous environments
• Excitement about how AI is changing how teams build
