Job Summary

Leading a talented, globally distributed team, the full-time hybrid Engineering Manager will manage the core CommCare team, focusing on team empowerment, technical systems, and delivery while ensuring efficient processes and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a distributed team of software engineers, providing coaching and growth opportunities
• Design and improve team workflows, including sprint ceremonies and release planning
• Collaborate with product leaders to scope, plan, and deliver initiatives while maintaining security and compliance standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing software engineers
• Proven track record of owning roadmaps and delivering projects on time
• Familiarity with writing specifications and conducting sprint ceremonies
• Experience in technical discussions related to stacks such as Python/Django, Postgres, and AWS
• Empathetic leadership skills with a focus on career development and team support
