Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a small, senior team, the full-time Engineering Manager will oversee the development and operation of Docker's secure build infrastructure, ensuring delivery and operational excellence in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of senior engineers in operating Docker Build Cloud and building secure infrastructure
• Own delivery by transforming high-stakes roadmaps into actionable plans for the team
• Engage deeply in technical work, participating in design discussions and code reviews while guiding the team's technical direction

Required qualifications

• 5+ years managing high-performing engineering teams with a focus on senior individual contributors
• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong interest in security and familiarity with software supply chain security concepts
• Experience operating production infrastructure, including on-call and incident response responsibilities
