Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Engineering Manager to lead the Payments team, who will manage and support engineers while also contributing as a senior engineer to design and implement scalable backend services and payment integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of engineers through regular feedback, career development, and performance management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape priorities and deliver valuable payment capabilities
• Contribute directly to backend services and technical decision-making while ensuring high-quality engineering practices

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams in a product-oriented SaaS environment
• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience with scalable web applications and backend services
• Hands-on development experience with Node, TypeScript, Elixir, or similar technologies
• Experience with APIs, service-oriented architectures, and production integrations
• Strong technical judgment and ability to guide architecture decisions and support team needs
