Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of Backend Software Engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager for the Communications Team will oversee Bestow's communications infrastructure, focusing on document generation and multi-channel customer communications while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the document generation pipeline and multi-channel notification delivery, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency
• Drive technical leadership by participating in system design, code reviews, and guiding engineers through complex challenges
• Develop team members through personalized growth plans and effective engineering ceremonies that promote collaboration

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
• 8+ years of professional experience in the software industry, including at least 3 years in a management role
• Professional experience with Go and familiarity with Docker for local software development
• Experience with cloud computing and Kubernetes or similar container orchestration
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and ability to track key metrics against SLAs
