Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of 6-8 engineers, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will oversee the development of the Luumen AI platform, focusing on technical architecture, engineering processes, and team management while remaining hands-on with code and technical decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring performance management, mentorship, and day-to-day delivery
• Own the technical architecture for frontend systems, backend services, and API contracts
• Drive engineering processes, defining how the team plans, ships, and learns while maintaining agility

Required qualifications

• 5-10+ years of engineering experience, with time as a senior engineer or tech lead
• 1-5+ years of direct management experience, including hiring and performance management
• Strong full-stack technical depth, with experience in frontend and backend systems
• Proven track record of building effective processes in a startup environment
• Experience in hiring and team-building, with a focus on engineering culture
