Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a small engineering team in a remote or hybrid capacity, the full-time Engineering Manager will oversee day-to-day management, drive team performance, and contribute hands-on to the codebase while ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of 2-4 engineers, focusing on their growth, performance, and day-to-day operations
• Own sprint delivery planning, prioritization, and honest communication of project scope and risks
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to align on priorities and translate business goals into actionable work

Required qualifications

• Experience leading or managing a small engineering team, or a technical lead ready for formal people management
• Hands-on experience with modern TypeScript codebases, capable of reviewing and contributing to code
• Strong skills in performance management, coaching, and developing engineers across various levels
• Proficiency in delivery management, including work decomposition, dependency management, and risk communication
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD automation, and observability/APM tools
