Engineering Manager

Job Summary

To inspire and grow the engineering organization, the full-time Engineering Manager will define and execute engineering strategy, build and scale the team, and drive execution of complex projects in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Defining and executing engineering strategy to align technical direction with business goals
• Building and scaling the team by recruiting, retaining, and mentoring engineers and managers
• Driving execution at scale to ensure timely delivery of high-impact projects across backend systems and infrastructure

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role
• Experience scaling engineering organizations in a fast-growing startup or tech company
• Deep familiarity with backend systems, distributed architecture, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Postgres; Node.js/TypeScript)
• Proven ability to deliver large, complex projects while keeping teams motivated
• Track record of building diverse, high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture
