Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Hands-on and technically proficient, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will lead a team in developing and modernizing financial services technology, contributing code, setting technical direction, and enhancing engineering practices while managing both legacy and new technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute production code regularly and own the team's technical direction and architecture decisions
- Lead the phased modernization of legacy components while building new capabilities with modern technologies
- Hire, coach, and manage engineers, ensuring effective collaboration with AI agents in the development process
Required qualifications
- 5-7+ years of relevant software engineering experience with leadership of an engineering team
- Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, and React, along with experience in .NET/C# and Angular
- Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted software development workflows in real delivery environments
- Cloud-native application experience on Azure, with familiarity in Infrastructure as Code tools
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
