Engineering Manager

Job Summary

The full-time remote Engineering Manager will set the technical direction for a team, balancing critical technical investments with product delivery while leading engineers to improve complex systems related to billing, accounting, and member eligibility.

Key responsibilities

• Set the technical direction across backend, frontend, data, and third-party systems, balancing technical investments with product work
• Recruit, mentor, and retain a talented engineering team, coaching and developing engineering managers or team leads
• Take holistic ownership of complex systems, defining strategic roadmaps to drive outcomes in billing, accounting, and enrollment

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams with a proven track record of hiring and developing other engineering leaders
• Deep technical expertise in backend, frontend, data, and integrations, particularly with Python and/or Go
• Experience with complex transactional systems in domains like billing, financial accounting, or customer enrollment
• Proven ability to build and scale diverse, high-performing engineering teams
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment and drive projects to completion
