Leading a team of backend engineers, the full-time Engineering Manager will balance people leadership, technical direction, and execution to build scalable and reliable systems, collaborating closely with Product and other engineering teams in a remote setting.

Required qualifications
- 2+ years of experience managing software engineers and 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong technical foundation in backend engineering, distributed systems, and scalable application architecture
- Experience building and operating high-volume production systems with a focus on reliability and performance
- Proven ability to guide technical decisions and evaluate tradeoffs effectively
- Experience in hiring, coaching, and developing engineers at various career stages
