Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading the Data Collection team remotely, the full-time Engineering Manager will oversee the development and operation of systems that discover and collect Internet data, while managing team performance and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance data quality and efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Scanner Engineers and Distributed Systems Engineers, setting clear expectations for performance and collaboration
- Define and manage the Data Collection roadmap, ensuring alignment with product and engineering priorities while focusing on high-value initiatives
- Provide technical and operational leadership, guiding architecture decisions and establishing standards for system quality and performance
Required qualifications
- Three years of engineering management or team leadership experience
- Proven track record of leading technical initiatives from planning to production delivery
- Prior experience as a software or systems engineer with a focus on production systems
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems and networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
