Engineering Manager
Job Summary
To support a growing health tech company, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers in developing and optimizing software solutions for patient data collection and compliance, while actively participating in coding and technical support.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 4-6 engineers, facilitating their professional development
- Plan, lead, and support new production features and projects, collaborating with Product Managers and designers
- Champion software performance, scalability, reliability, and observability while balancing new development against technical debt
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software experience and 3+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
- 1+ years of experience managing engineers
- Experience within the healthcare software industry
- Comfortable using AI throughout the software development lifecycle
- Able to thrive in a startup environment where clarity must be created out of ambiguity
