Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a cross-functional product team, the full-time remote Engineering Manager will oversee the technical direction, delivery, and health of the team while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration in the shipping and logistics domain.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing, self-managing engineering team through effective coaching and clear expectations
- Own the technical direction and backlog priorities, balancing team input with company strategy
- Collaborate with Product and Design to shape the roadmap and ensure high-quality software delivery
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience managing product-focused software engineering teams, preferably in SaaS, startup, or ecommerce environments
- Recent hands-on experience as a software engineer with a strong understanding of architectural decisions and scalable system design
- Familiarity with Agile software principles, including SCRUM, and a history of delivering software through iterative processes
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and make tradeoffs under real-world constraints
- Experience utilizing AI agents in software development processes to enhance team output
