Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Engineering Manager to oversee a team of 6-8 engineers, focusing on pod performance, execution, and people management while partnering with Technical Leads and Product Managers to ensure effective delivery of AI-native mortgage automation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall performance and operating cadence of the engineering pod, ensuring clarity around priorities and expectations
- Be accountable for project delivery, identifying risks, and addressing stalled or poorly scoped projects
- Conduct weekly 1:1s with direct reports, providing continuous feedback and supporting their growth and performance management
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing engineers in a product or platform team
- Proven track record of improving team performance and delivering software projects successfully
- Strong background in software engineering, with the ability to evaluate technical designs and code
- Experience in AI product development and understanding of non-deterministic systems
- Excellent written communication skills, particularly in a remote work environment
